“Entering a Flower Show, Design It, Grow It, Show It!” is the topic of the Trevose Horticultural Society’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
The June program will be a lively interactive, user-friendly review of how to enter horticulture and design in an NGC flower show. Karen Wychock, a Life National Garden Club judge, will explain how to “grow and show” horticulture specimens for entry in the THS’ annual flower show “Bee Inspired.” Her demonstration will also include National Garden Club design styles with helpful pointers in creating and entering floral designs, horticulture displays, hats, exhibition tables and hanging designs, which are some of the featured classes.
If you have never entered a flower show, or if you are an “old hat” at entering, you will walk away with some great information and ideas for the upcoming flower show. Questions are encouraged.
All meetings are open to the public; observers are welcome. A donation of $5 is requested from non-members. For more information, contact 856-866-9163, visit TrevoseGardeners.org or follow on Facebook.
