The Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County are holding their 22nd annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their office location on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Road, Newtown. Rain or shine.
The sale offers many types of annuals, perennials, rare and unusual trees and shrubs, including natives, Master Gardener-grown and -donated plants, a large selection of herbs and vegetables, including heirloom types. Also offered are butterfly/pollinator plants, shade and deer-resistant plants, indoor plants, native plants, container garden plants, as well as a selection of hanging baskets for Mother’s Day gifts.
The sale features a large indoor area with ample parking. More than 80 Master Gardeners and Master Watershed Stewards will be on hand to answer home gardening and environmental stewardship questions, and help with plant selection for Bucks County gardens. Bringing a wagon or cart is suggested. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
