The trustees of the Bucks County Bar Foundation are taking the opportunity of their 20th anniversary to recognize, honor and praise extraordinary members of the community whose selfless acts of service, giving and volunteerism have made a meaningful contribution to local society.
The foundation is presenting the following awards:
- Service Awards: Josh Fields, The Next Step Programs; Paul Muller, Team Toyota. Both of these individuals have worked on behalf of others without being motivated by financial or material gain and have made significant contributions to their community through selfless, altruistic service to charitable, religious, civic, governmental and/or educational organizations.
- Veterans Awards: Janet Brennan, Shamrock Reins; Ryan Manion, The Travis Manion Foundation; Patrick J. Murphy, Honorable Mention. All three of these individuals, along with their organizations, have demonstrated philanthropic support and selfless service to members of the military services and their families.
- Justice Awards: The Peace Center; Barbara Asteak Kaner, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA. Both The Peace Center and Kaner are being honored for advancing the ideals of social justice in the community at-large. These recipients have encouraged a greater respect for the law and fostered a greater respect for the rule of law.
All will be honored at the Bucks County Bar Foundation 20th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, April 18, at the Buck Hotel in Feasterville. Visit buckscountybarfoundation.salsalabs.org/bcbf20th/index.html for tickets, sponsorships and more information.
