Family Service Association of Bucks County announced the arrival of its new director of programs, Meghan Szafran, MBA, LPC, CT. Szafran has over 20 years of behavioral health and nonprofit experience in various clinical and leadership roles, most recently as division manager of behavioral health at Main Line Health System.Â
She is passionate about increasing healthcare access and equity for vulnerable and marginalized populations, and reducing the stigma of behavioral health services.
Szafran earned her MBA from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology with a specialization in trauma studies from Chestnut Hill College. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and is certified in thanatology.
A resident of Bensalem, Szafran lives with her three children, as well as a rescue dog and cat. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of families in her own community.
