The first beer festival of the season in Bucks County is back at Washington Crossing Historic Park for its 13th year. Washington Crossing Brewfest takes place Saturday, May 4, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the upper part of the park, 1638 River Road, New Hope. General admission tickets are $55 until sold out.

“Washington Crossing Brewfest has been nominated by the USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards as one of the top 20 Favorite Beer Festivals in the country,” said Jennifer Martin, executive director of the Friends of Washington Crossing Historic Park. “Time and time again, our attendees say our unique location in a natural and picturesque environment is their favorite part of the day. This year, Brewfest is going to be bigger and better than ever. We have expanded upon our wide selection of IPAs, allowing attendees to sample a variety of beer and brewed malt beverages, including hard ciders, kombuchas, seltzers, spiked teas and others throughout the day. It will feature even more delicious drinks from dozens of local, regional and nationally-known breweries.”

The ticket includes a souvenir sampling cup and 2-ounce pours from a variety of craft and commercial breweries. Hear live music from First Highland Watch, a rock and roll bagpipe band, as well as the park’s Fife and Drum Corps. Enjoy food from vendors in a wooded setting overlooking the Delaware River. This is a volunteer-run event, and all proceeds help the Friends of Washington Crossing Park educate the public, promote history and preserve the park for future generations.

Tickets are available online at washingtoncrossingbrewfest.com, where guests can add a commemorative limited edition T-shirt to their order. A limited number of Designated Driver tickets are also available for $17.76. To avoid paying online fees, tickets can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at Washington Crossing Historic Park’s Visitor Center, 1112 River Road.

All breweries and food vendors interested in participating at Brewfest should email Katherine Manning at [email protected] before March 15. Washington Crossing Brewfest is a food, beer and malt beverage-only event; vendors who fall outside these categories are not accepted. Wine and spirits are not served or sampled.

This event serves as the park’s largest fundraiser, which goes toward the annual Crossing Reenactment, Memorial Day Celebration and Independence Day Celebration. Event sponsors, who will receive recognition via social media and exposure to 2,700 patrons, are still being accepted. Email Manning for more information.
