On Saturday, Dec. 9, Cairn University invites the public to participate in a special Christmas-themed 5K. Whether you choose to run the 5K or walk a mile, all are invited to register. Enjoy post-race Christmas cookies, music and candy canes.
All proceeds of the event will be donated to the New Horizons Scholarship, an initiative to provide support to new mothers served by crisis pregnancy resource centers, who choose to give birth, even though their educational and career goals would be interrupted by unplanned pregnancy, delivery and parenthood. The scholarship provides recipients with tuition aid in addition to academic support and a nurturing Christian community as they seek to renew and/or begin their pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
