Pickering Manor is hosting a complimentary seminar titled “Health and Wellness for Older Adults” on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 2:30 p.m. The seminar is designed to educate and encourage healthy lifestyles through light fitness, nutrition and overall wellness. There will be healthy refreshments for all to enjoy.
In this session, attendees will learn exercise guidelines for older adults (65-plus), light exercises they can do at home, general nutrition recommendations, and tips and tricks on how to maintain overall wellness. Additionally, for those interested, there will be a live demonstration of Nordic Walking/Urban Poling. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
The seminar will be presented by Kaitlyn Joffrey (PT, DPT, NCS), doctor of physical therapy and owner of Let’s Get Moving, which provides in-home fitness, nutrition and wellness programs for adults 60-plus and those living with neurologic conditions.
