Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck announced that two veterans from the Vietnam Era and the wife of a veteran will be interred during the Unattended Veterans Service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m.

“The community is invited to join the Bucks County Coroner’s Office at the service that honors those who served our country as they are properly laid to rest,” said Buck.

The veterans being interred are:

– Stanley Creeley, U.S. Marine Corps, Lance Corporal, Middletown Township, DOD: 10/26/2022
– Marlene Sabetay, wife of veteran, Doylestown Township, DOD: 6/6/2023
– David Zdrojewski, Private First Class, Bristol Township, DOD: 6/19/2023

During the ceremony, their names will be read, and the Pennsylvania Military Honors team will present the flag on behalf of the veterans. A rifle salute and live Taps will be provided. After the ceremony, the veterans will each be placed in their own niche in the columbarium, which will be engraved with “Proudly Served.” Sabetay will be interred privately with her husband.
