Crunch Fitness, including the location at 1336 Bristol Pike in Bensalem, invites members and non-members to climb the same number of stairs that first responders walked on Sept. 11, 2001, using the StairMasters in the gym.

At exactly 8:46 a.m. — the moment when the first hijacked place struck the first Twin Tower — every Sept. 11, firefighters around the nation begin their ritual. In stadiums, public buildings and on StairMasters, the first responders walk up 110 flights of stairs dressed in full firefighting gear. This tradition honors the 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty that day.
