The U-Haul van was seized by the Philadelphia Police Department at the time of his arrest.
Bensalem Police attempted to conduct traffic stops on him twice. On both occasions, he fled from the police.
Williams has been charged with over $8,000 worth of thefts in Bensalem alone since April 22. Williams had 12 active arrest warrants out of Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
He’s suspected of committing a felony retail theft in Montgomery Township, where charges are pending. Police departments in New Jersey are also filing charges for similar thefts. Williams has approximately 20 more pending cases for a total of over $100,000 worth of stolen merchandise.
Williams was transported to the Bensalem Township Police Department, where he was charged with numerous counts of theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, and related offenses. He was arraigned in four criminal complaints from Bensalem and one from Middletown Township by District Justice Joseph Falcone. He was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.
