Brewers from across Bucks County recently united at Warwick Farm Brewing to announce the release of the first countywide Bucks County Ale Trail collaboration beer: Expedition Bucks County.

This American Pale Ale is brewed with Cascade and Citra hops, and has peach, grapefruit and sweet fruit flavors. According to its creators, consumers can expect a clear and crisp Pale Ale.

It’s set to be released on Aug. 25 on draft and in cans at all Ale Trail brewery locations.

During the event, hosted in partnership with Visit Bucks County, the beer name and label design were on display for a first-look, with the beer actively brewing throughout the day.

There was representation from all breweries at the event, which called for a day of beer tasting from the individual locations, as well as Fry’s Catering Scratch Kitchen food truck.

“The event was great. It was really nice to spend the day with so many great people in our brewing community,” said Jason Ranck, head brewer, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. “We are really excited about the collaboration beer and would definitely participate again next year. The beer we brewed was a simple American Amber Ale hopped with Cascade and Citra. It was refreshing to revisit a classic style that you don’t see around very often anymore.”

The Ale Trail launched in May 2019 with 15 breweries, and has since grown to 26 breweries, with 32 locations (including taprooms). Previous Ale Trail releases can be found at visitbuckscounty.com/things-to-do/planning-ideas/beer/beer-releases/.

Ultimately, the goal of the Ale Trail is to promote tourism, with beer lovers able to secure a free Ale Trail T-shirt by checking-in digitally at five or more breweries through a mobile passport.
