Bensalem Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 7:50 p.m. on the 1600 block of Neshaminy Valley Drive, after a pedestrian was struck by an illegal dirt bike.
During the investigation, it was determined that a 64-year-old male was intentionally struck by a dirt bike and knocked to the ground. The dirt bike rider, said police, then rode over the victim a second time, causing substantial injuries to his extremities and internal organs. As a result of the injuries, the victim was transported to a local hospital by Bensalem Medics for possible life-threatening injuries.
The dirt bike rider was wearing a white helmet, camouflage shirt and pants, and operating a green and white dirt bike, and was with a white male wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and operating a red dirt bike.
