Antwan Clayton Jones, 42, of Ellenville, New York, has been arrested by Bensalem Police for a robbery at an ATM near Kohl’s, 2325 Street Road.
On July 31, police responded to the parking lot of the department store for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. The victim, Klever Cajamarca, told police that he was withdrawing money from the ATM at the Bank of America on Street Road when he noticed a Black male standing behind him in line.
After making a withdrawal, the victim began riding his bicycle from the bank when he was approached by the same male behind the Kohl’s store. The male exited the vehicle, put a gun to the victim’s head, and stated, “Give me your money or I’ll kill you.” Jones took $1,000 from Cajamarca and fled the area in a gray Nissan Altima.
Utilizing various forms of technology, police were able to identify the robbery suspect as Jones. The Altima was a rental vehicle that was tracked to a business on Street Road. Bensalem Police found the vehicle in the parking lot, entered the business and took Jones into custody without incident.
The Altima was towed to the Bensalem Township Police Department, and a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle. During the search, police discovered clothing used in the robbery, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun with the hammer cocked and the safety off. Jones does not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
Jones was charged with Robbery, Terroristic Threats and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Stacy Wertman and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.
