Bucks County Community College hosted a Unity Meeting of Human Relations Commissions from across Bucks County on July 26, ahead of the upcoming school year. The goal was to unify and coordinate HRC officials’ responses to potential discrimination cases against K-12 students.
Kevin Antoine, the college’s associate vice president of community and government relations, chief DEI officer and chair of the Newtown Township HRC, called the meeting along with Bernie Hoffman, chair of the Bucks County Human Relations Council.
It was the first such gathering of HRCs countywide, representing Bucks County, Doylestown Borough, Newtown Borough, Newtown Township, New Hope Borough, Solebury Borough and Yardley Borough.
