Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, is hosting a Summer Open House on Saturday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public is invited to learn more about the nonprofit organization’s services, including the AAHA Accredited Veterinary Hospital serving community-owned pets, the Adoption Center featuring shelter pets waiting for their forever homes, and Dog Training Classes fostering the human-animal bond.
The Open House is presented by Laurel Hill, which will share information about The Laurels Pet Center and pet services. The day at the center will also include:
– Dog training demos
– Story Tails Reading Program (children can read to a shelter pet)
– Make a shelter pet enrichment toy activity station for kids
– 50/50 and basket raffle fundraiser
– Dog treats courtesy of Bucks County’s Saint Rocco’s Treats
– Storytime and book signing with children’s author Erin Murphy
– Dog licensing information from the Bucks County Treasurer’s Office
