Blue Bar, 119 York Road, Warminster, is rocking for a special fundraiser for the Warminster Food Bank on July 29, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The event is hosted by Bob Jones, of the local band Shakin Not Stirred, and Blue Bar owners Theresa and Karl Drahovsky, and features performances by four bands, including Shakin Not Stirred, The Casual Fridays, Never Enough Time and Swampy Jonz.

The fundraiser will feature a 50/50 raffle drawing. Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted at the event, as well as cash and supermarket gift cards. Items that are needed the most are listed at warminsterfoodbank.org/.

Items collected will help provide monthly groceries and supplies for families in need in Bucks and Montgomery counties. The Warminster Food Bank serves over 10,000 people a year, and 95 percent of the monetary donations received are used to provide groceries to local residents experiencing food insecurity.

“Food insecurity knows no boundary and is a year-round problem,” said Mike Cerino, director, Warminster Food Bank. “The summer months are especially challenging, so we urge people to come out, enjoy some great entertainment, make a donation of non-perishable food items and help us lighten the load for those experiencing food insecurity in our local communities.”

“My husband Karl and I are long-term residents of Warminster. We have two small businesses in town, Blue Bar and Smart Decor and More,” said Theresa. “In these struggling times, we need to support each other, our community and those in need. We are very proud that Blue Bar can contribute and hold this event. We are looking forward to working together with Warminster Food Bank much more in the future.”
