Silver Lake Nature Center, 1306 Bath Road, Bristol, announced the following events:

“IPR Team” Volunteer Project Day takes place Saturdays, July 15 and Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. The “Invasive Plants Removal Team” now meets once a month to help clear invasive plants from specific areas on the SLNC Trails/Grounds. Each season brings new plants in various degrees of difficulty, and will also serve as a learning opportunity. These Project Days also involve planting native plants and trees. Register online or by phone. Volunteers under age 18 must have an accompanying parent/legal guardian with them for the duration of the event. No exceptions.

Earthship Tours take place Saturdays, July 15 and Aug. 19, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Stop by to visit and learn about these interesting, sustainable structures. Tours are free, but donations to the nonprofit Friends of SLNC are appreciated. Register online or by phone.

Trails are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. SLNC Visitors’ Center is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
