The Bensalem Township Police Motor Patrol Unit has begun patrols for motorcycles and ATVs that illegally ride on private property and roadways in Bensalem. The unit has taken a zero-tolerance stance on this type of activity. Those found to be riding in violation of Pennsylvania laws will have their motorcycle or ATV seized, and will be cited for any and all violations, no matter their age.
Recently, the Bensalem Township Motor Patrol Unit seized motorcycles and ATVs in the area of Bristol Road and Grove Avenue. This area has been significantly impacted by riders that disregard traffic laws and trespass on private property.
The unit will utilize police ATVs, drones and other technology to identify, locate, seize and cite anyone engaged in this illegal activity.
Parents will be held responsible for the actions of their children, including the payment of all fines. Parents are encouraged to talk with their kids and let them know that riding on roadways and private property is against the law.
