SCORE Bucks County is offering four free webinars next month in a continued effort to keep the local business community informed.

“Make Your Business More Accessible” takes place July 11. Led by Felicia Shanken, CEO/founder of the Philadelphia Women’s Network Connection, LLC, the workshop provides insight on building digital communications that allow people with disabilities to navigate and interact with their products and services. Shanken will discuss: what accountability means online; how to design for accessibility (web pages, email and tips for physical spaces); guidance for being more inclusive.

“Retirement Planning 101 for Small Businesses” takes place July 18. Katrina Boyer, Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities investor education coordinator, leads the webinar. She focuses on saving and investing for your retirement needs, highlighting programs available that target small business owners and their employees. Boyer will provide insight on: retirement planning for small business owners; different plans that may be available, including types of accounts and annual maximum contribution limits; two retirement strategies to consider.

“Office Hours with Amazon” takes place July 18. SCORE is offering this event in conjunction with Amazon. From noon to 1 p.m., Amazon representatives will discuss the company’s Black Business Accelerator, which offers financial assistance, strategic business guidance and mentorship, as well as marketing and promotional support to help current and aspiring Black small business owners grow their businesses and maximize opportunities of selling via Amazon’s store. This session is geared for business owners who are currently a certified Black-owned product-based business or aspiring one, who are new to Amazon.

“Profit and Loss Statement & 1099 Forms” takes place July 25. Led by George F. Holzer III, a partner at Scott A. Miller & Co., CPA’s PLLC, this webinar provides insight on income statements and 1099 forms. Holzer discusses the components of profit and loss, as well as cost of goods sold, overhead expenses and other income and expenses. Holzer will shed light on: analyzing administrative expenses; demystifying 1099 forms; calculating break-even points.

With the exception of the Amazon discussion, all webinars are held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information about the webinars or to register, visit score.org/buckscounty.
