Louise Morris was recently honored at the Middletown Township board of supervisors meeting for her outstanding service to the community. For 36 years, she’s served as a crossing guard, ensuring the safety of local children.
Chief of Police Joe Bartorilla presented Morris with a plaque to recognize her remarkable service.
“We have many great teachers and principals, but sometimes, we forget those behind-the-scenes employees, our dedicated crossing guards and bus drivers who show up every day in any kind of weather to make sure our kids get to school safely,” said Bartorilla.
Morris is now embarking on a well-deserved retirement.
