Man arrested in Bensalem for attempted gun, drug sale

Philadelphia’s Ishmael Isaac Colon had a 9mm handgun and cocaine in his possession

Bensalem Police, in cooperation with the Bucks County Detectives and the Philadelphia Police Department FBI Task Force, arrested Ishmael Isaac Colon, 34, of Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia.

He was charged with Persons Not to Possess a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and related charges.

Colon came to Bensalem Township to sell a 9mm handgun and cocaine to a subject known by police. Upon arriving at the location, officers moved in and took him into custody without incident. In his possession was a Springfield Hellcat 9mm handgun, a small amount of cocaine and $1,600 in US currency. Colon is prohibited from being in possession of a firearm by law.

During a subsequent search of his home in Philadelphia, police recovered four more handguns and an AR style rifle.

Colon was arraigned by District Justice Frank Peranteau and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
