Oxford Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Langhorne has introduced cardiac rehabilitation services under the leadership of board-certified cardiologists Ronald Fields, MD, FACC, and Frank Ammaturo, MD, FACC. Located at 300 E. Winchester Ave., the skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

Oxford’s cardiac rehabilitation program focuses on promoting independence and quality of life through reducing symptoms and decreasing disability in heart patients. It is designed to assist individuals suffering from challenging or life-threatening heart conditions, including those recovering from a cardiac event or surgical procedure, and those at risk for cardiovascular disease.

The team leading the Oxford initiative, Comprehensive Cardiology, is affiliated with Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic/St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Drs. Fields and Ammaturo are Fellows with the American College of Cardiology. The team also includes certified nurse practitioners Judith Wright, MSN, CCRN, CNRP, and Theresa Rourke, CNRP.

“Comprehensive Cardiology is one of the most highly respected medical groups in the region,” said Erin Popelak, regional director of marketing development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Oxford. “Dr. Fields, Dr. Ammaturo, Judith and Theresa are working closely with the Oxford clinical team to provide for the best possible outcomes for cardiac patients.”

The new cardiac rehabilitation program builds on Oxford’s evolution as a leading regional specialty services provider. The facility also recently introduced physiatry services under the direction of John A. Furrey, MD. Oxford maintains a four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. More information about the facility and its programming can be found at oxfordrehabhc.com.

Oxford Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is part of the Oxford Enhanced Senior Living campus, which also includes Oxford Crossings, a personal care component featuring a memory care unit, as well as independent living apartments.
