Sunshine Foundation hosted its 21st Annual RunWalkBark4Dreams 5K fun run and 2-mile walk on Saturday, May 20, at Tyler State Park.
Participants of the family- and dog-friendly event raised funds to make dreams come true for Josiah and Justin. Josiah, with Septo-optic dysplasia, deafness and low-functioning autism, dreams of visiting Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse. Justin, with Allan-Herndon-Dudley syndrome and cerebral palsy, is dreaming of a trip to Disney World because it’s the happiest place on earth.
This annual event is an opportunity for corporate groups and organizations to walk or run as a team building activity that supports children with chronic illnesses and conditions in their community. This year’s top sponsors were RLE (Research Learn Execute), Stark & Stark Attorneys at Law and The Wawa Foundation.
