NOVA invites the community to join in honoring victims of crime, their families, friends and those who serve them, at a candlelight tribute at Bucks County Community College, Rollins Building – Gallagher Room, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, on Tuesday, April 4. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the tribute begins at 6:15 p.m.

Each year, in connection with Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, NOVA holds its annual candlelight tribute for victims of crime. All are invited to share in this experience, honoring loved ones lost to or affected by violence and celebrating the many successes of the victims’ rights movement. In addition to the tribute, the event features:

– Jennifer M. Schorn, First Assistant District Attorney for Bucks County, speaking on the importance of supporting victims and their families
– Victim/survivor stories of healing where participants will have the opportunity to honor themselves, a loved one or a community member who has been the victim of crime
– An exhibition of victim and survivor artwork
