Police have arrested a drug seller, retail thief and more

Desean Daquan Howard

On Tuesday, March 28, the Bensalem Township Police Special Investigations Unit conducted a controlled buy in the 3600 block of Street Road. The target of the operation was Desean Howard, 35, of Boudinot St. in Trenton, New Jersey. Bensalem SIU received information that Howard was selling heroin/fentanyl at businesses along Street Road over the past few months. Officers stopped him at a predetermined location and recovered 160 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl, cash and a cell phone.

Howard was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and related charges. He was arraigned by District Justice Jan Vislosky and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $300,000 bail. Howard was arrested on March 28, at 2 p.m.

Derrick Thurman

On July 21, 2022, Lower Southampton Township Police began to investigate the report of a retail theft from the TJ Maxx in Feasterville. The theft occurred on July 15 when a male walked out of the store without paying for numerous articles of clothing. During this investigation, Derrick Thurman, 52, of Philadelphia, was identified as the individual who committed the theft.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Thurman for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. Police are asking the public’s help with locating Thurman. Ronald W. Brown

On Dec. 26, 2022, Lower Southampton Township Police began to investigate the report of the theft of a 72-year-old woman’s wallet from her shopping cart as she was shopping at the ACME in Feasterville. Following the theft, the male proceeded to local businesses and a Boscov’s in New Jersey, where he utilized the victim’s credit cards to make purchases. During this investigation, Ronald Brown, 54, of Brooklyn, New York, was identified as the individual who committed the theft and unauthorized use of credit cards.

An arrest warrant was issued for Brown, who was then arrested in New York, turned over to Burlington, New Jersey, who had an arrest warrant for him for the stolen credit card use, and then he waived extradition back to Bucks County for this arrest warrant. Bail was set and Brown was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility awaiting his court date. He was arrested on Friday, March 10, at 8 p.m.

James Sykes

On Dec. 16, 2022, Lower Southampton Township Police began an investigation of a reported retail theft from the Burlington store in Feasterville. The male subject who was involved in this theft was identified as James Sykes, 34, of Philadelphia.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Sykes for the charges of Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. If you know Sykes and know his whereabouts, contact Lower Southampton Township Police by calling the Bucks County Radio Room at 215-357-1234 or 911 and report his location.
