‘Open Air’ drug sales shut down in Bensalem apartment

Two pounds of methamphetamine and more were recovered at Bucks Meadow Apartments

The Bensalem Township Police Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 3131 Knights Road, Bucks Meadow Apartments, #5-11. As a result of the investigation, officers recovered approximately two pounds of methamphetamine, two ounces of cocaine, marijuana, psilocybin (mushrooms), $1,364 U.S. currency, digital scales and packaging material consistent with the sales and manufacturing of controlled substances.

At the time of the execution of the search warrant, Ramiro Murillo Garcia and Wilfredo Sanchez were taken into custody without incident. Murillo Garcia and Sanchez are both in the United States illegally and have been charged with two counts of Manufacture, Deliver, Possess with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy and related charges.

Murillo Garcia

The investigation began with an anonymous tip about the sale of narcotics in the Bucks Meadow Apartment complex. Bensalem SIU conducted surveillance of that location for several weeks and witnessed numerous drug transactions at apartment #5-11. The “customers” arrived on foot and by vehicle and were comprised of people from various neighborhoods in and around Bucks County.

Sanchez

Murillo Garcia and Sanchez were arraigned by District Justice Terry Hughes at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Both subjects were remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $200,000 bail.
