The TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program is looking for teens from Bucks County high schools to represent the county in a regional event on May 2 that is being held at the Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center, 1030 Horsham Road, Montgomeryville.

The TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program, Chester County Highway Safety Project, Delaware County Transportation Management Association and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services are uniting to hold this 3rd Annual Teen Safe Driving ROADeo.

This event aims to keep teens safe on the roadway through education, interaction and fun. There will be multiple “stations” for teens to rotate through, including a driving simulator, mock traffic stop by police, blind spot demonstration, vehicle service station, drunk and distracted driving information and an interactive presentation.

This educational event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free of charge and open to all students from Bucks County high schools. They can get more information and register online at tmabucks.com/event/southeastern-pennsylvania-teen-safe-driving-roadeo/.

All students must have a parental permission slip to attend the event, but don’t need to have a driver’s license to participate. Students without a driver’s license will need a parent, guardian or school chaperone to get them there. Parents that bring their kids are welcome to stay.

“Students will enjoy food and drinks, play fun games, have the chance to win giveaways, all while learning to be safe drivers,” said TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Mannon. “If your child is in high school, this is something you want them to participate in. We are excited to have Bucks County well represented at this year’s event.”

Parents, teens or schools can contact Mannon at carly@bctma.com with any questions.
