Corvette Club helps make autistic child’s shopping dream come true

Adam Bullock always dreamed of a shopping spree

The Corvette Club of Delaware Valley and the Corvette Enthusiasts Community Foundation donated funds to help answer the shopping spree dream of Adam Bullock, of Philadelphia, who has low-functioning autism and cerebral palsy.

“Adam, who is nonverbal, is a strong and determined child that loves to play at the playground and spend time with his family,” said Adam’s mom. “Watching him grow has given me courage and strength.”

The donation was facilitated through the Sunshine Foundation, which answers the dreams of children from income-limited families with lifelong chronic conditions, such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, profound low-functioning autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness and others.

To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations.

Since 1976, the Sunshine Foundation has spread sunshine into the lives of more than 41,900 children throughout the United States. For more information or to make a donation, visit sunshinefoundation.org.
