William Beck and Christian Martinka have joined the department

Bensalem Township Mayor Joe DiGirolamo and director of public safety William McVey announced the swearing-in of two new Bensalem Township police officers — William Beck and Christian Martinka.

Beck spent almost nine years in the Philadelphia Police Department. His most recent assignment was in the 15th District and he was also a member of the tactical unit. He was honorably discharged from the PA Army National Guard, where he served from 2010-2018.

Martinka spent almost four years with the Philadelphia Police Department and was also assigned to the 15th District. He comes from a family of police officers including his father Thomas Sr., who retired from the Philadelphia Police Department after 35 years of service, and his older brother Thomas Jr., who has been with the Bensalem Township Police Department since September 2019.
