Bensalem High School students (from L) Theresa Widmeier-Beem, Dennis Shalimov, Charlotte Crawford and Ivan Xiao were selected to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 11 Band Festival.
They participated in a two-day festival at Central Bucks High School South this past weekend, rehearsing and performing with some of the best band students from Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Additionally, BHS students Shalimov and Kasta Marigna represented their school at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 11 Orchestra Festival. Both were selected from among the best student musicians across Bucks and Montgomery counties through a rigorous audition process in which students are judged on technical ability, tone quality, intonation and overall musicianship.
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of over 4,000 members dedicated to promoting and supporting quality music education, learning and performance in schools and communities in Pennsylvania.
