“Playwicki Farm and CSA Partnership” is the featured program of the Trevose Horticultural Society’s meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.

June Olson, foundation member and previous charter member of Playwicki Farm, is presenting the history of this Jewel of Lower Southampton.

Awarded three centuries ago to William Penn as part of a land grant, the park was owned by different families and ultimately a generational family. The property is especially significant due to documented evidence of Native American habitation.

Purchased by the board of supervisors of Lower Southampton Township, the farm was created in 1996 and offers educational programs as well as a variety of wildlife and 100 acres of unique trails and meadows to enjoy and explore nature.

Community Supported Agriculture is a symbiotic relationship between the members of the farm, growers and the farm itself. A representative of Love Grows CSA will explain their relationship with Playwicki Farm, their holistic methods of growing organic produce and how to become a member of the local CSA.

All meetings are open to the public; a donation of $5 is requested from non-members. For more information, call 856-866-9163, visit TrevoseGardeners.org or follow on Facebook.
