People are needed to help with gardening, special events and more

The Playwicki Farm Foundation recently held a volunteer recognition event to thank its volunteers for their service throughout 2022, and to also try to attract more people to volunteer at the 110-acre historic farm, located at 2350 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville-Trevose.

Pictured at the event are (from L) volunteers Skyler Olsen, Michaele Johnson, Gretchen Samuels, Connie Singer and Stu Freeman, a foundation board member and volunteer director. Absent from the photo are volunteers Amy Gordon, Charlotte Eliason and Tom Hartsfield.

Freeman said he’s looking for people to help with gardening, special event set-ups and take-downs, trail maintenance, farm foundation booth set-up and take-down, people to direct crowds during events and those with decorating skills. He also has a need for those with special skills in fundraising and grant writing, website design and maintenance, museum layout, architecture, stone masonry and structural engineering.

Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Freeman at 267-241-3954 or email [email protected].
