The 2022 Family Service Association of Bucks County Holiday Gift Shop had perhaps its most successful year to date.

Dedicated volunteers, staff and donors collected, organized and distributed 1,674 toys and gifts to brighten the holiday spirits of 280 Bucks County families in need, which included 614 children and teens. Further, donors came through stronger than ever, with some setting up toy drives and donation boxes of their own to benefit the annual campaign, while others went above and beyond in their own ways.

For example, Family Service board secretary Cliff Davis and generous residents of Regency at Yardley helped collect, purchase and deliver hundreds of toys for Family Service ahead of the Holiday Gift Shop. They followed up their donations with a full day of volunteering at the actual event, assisting clinicians as they selected items for their clients’ families. They also arranged, wrapped and packaged gifts, and helped Family Service staff as needed.

“I feel incredibly proud to be a part of something so special,” said Anne Marie Richards, volunteer and development coordinator. “Having volunteers and donors who share in my enthusiasm for this annual event like our friends at Regency at Yardley means so much to me, our staff and, most importantly, to the families who received just a little bit more joy this holiday season.”
