Hatboro Federal Savings donates $222,222 to local organizations

Bucks County Community College Foundation, Council Rock Education Foundation and others are among recipients

Hatboro Federal Savings presented a total of $222,222 in grants to nine local organizations that meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. The EITC allows tax credits for eligible businesses that contribute to a scholarship, educational improvement or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

Recipients of EITC grants included: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County; Bucks County Community College Foundation; Centennial Education Foundation; Council Rock Education Foundation; Hatboro-Horsham Education Foundation; North Penn School District Educational Foundation; Union Library of Hatboro; Upper Dublin Education Foundation; and Upper Moreland Education Foundation.

Linda Roehner, CEO of Hatboro Federal Savings, takes great pride in the bank’s 80-year history of supporting the communities it serves. She said, “Hatboro Federal’s EITC grants provide funding for programs that deliver educational services that are greatly needed in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Through these grants, we are able to make a difference for local educational foundations and organizations that benefit children of all ages.

“Supporting these organizations helps to develop tomorrow’s leaders, whether through special classes, creative outreach programs or state-of-the-art instructional techniques. We are helping students succeed both now and in the future.”
