Family Service Golf Outing raises $60,000

The funds will support human and social service programs that assist more than 40,000 Bucks County children and families in need each year.

More than 100 golfers participated in the 23rd annual Family Service Drive for Youth Golf Outing, held recently at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope. The fundraiser brought in $60,000, all of which will go toward supporting the agency’s vital human and social service programs that assist more than 40,000 Bucks County children and families in need each year.

Participants enjoyed a barbecue lunch, cocktail reception, awards ceremony and several gifts.

During the evening awards reception, Teddy Tendler, 8, of Yardley, was presented with the Susan N. Altomari Champion of Youth Award by Family Service CEO Julie Dees and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for her fundraising efforts and technology donation to the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter.

Dees told attendees, “Your support and participation in this event year after year helps ensure that children and families facing significant, sometimes unimaginable challenges have the services and support they need.”
