Charles “Chip” Huffman, of Feasterville-Trevose, recently had his wish to have an accessibility ramp installed granted, thanks to national nonprofit Twilight Wish Foundation.

Huffman, a Navy veteran, has multiple medical issues and has lost strength in his arms and legs due to nerve damage. He also recently fell and broke his ankle, making walking extremely difficult, despite his hard work at trying to improve his mobility and independence.

His wife Lois has her own medical issues, including a recent hip fracture and surgery and dementia. Their daughter, Kristy, who lives with them, recently started chemo for breast cancer and is very ill.

Huffman, 76, relies on a wheelchair to get in and out of his home and having an accessibility ramp will improve his quality of life. Thanks to a generous donor, his wish was granted earlier this month. Amramp discounted the cost of the ramp installation.
