William Tennent career lab named after dedicated supporter

The working store run by special needs students will be called the Joe Cowhey Career Lab

It was recently announced that the William Tennent High School career center will be named after the late Joe Cowhey, of Cowhey Family ShopRite in Warminster, who generously supported educational programs in the Centennial School District.

His commitment to authentic experiences for students included the creation of the ShopRite Career Lab, a working store run by special needs students at William Tennent. The name of the store will be transformed into the Joe Cowhey Career Lab. More details about the dedication will be announced soon.

Cowhey also sponsored events for the Centennial Education Foundation and William Tennent Music Program. One of his holiday highlights was having the Madrigals perform at the Cowhey Family ShopRite. He also enjoyed sponsoring and attending school musicals.
