The Bucks County Blues Society, established in 1977, is presenting its 2022 Fall Footstomper on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Terchon VFW (indoors), 1315 Hardy St. in Levittown.
It’s a celebration of Steve Guyger’s 50 years in the blues and 70th birthday. Bucks County’s No. 1 bluesman will perform two sets of old school harmonica blues, inspired by legends like Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson I and II, James Cotton, Junior Wells and Big Walter Horton.
In addition to Severn Records’ Steve Guyger & The Excellos, special guests will be announced soon. Guyger performed on the bill with Cotton at the first BCBS event on Aug. 29, 1977. He has performed across the U.S., in the U.K., all over Europe and in Brazil, and toured for 13 years with influential Chicago blues master Jimmy Rogers. Guyger is a lifelong resident of Bucks County and a graduate of Neshaminy High School.
A donation of $20 in advance includes pizza, soft pretzels and assorted munchies. Cash bar only; no BYOB. Must be 21 or older to attend this event. Parking is free but limited. Venue is wheelchair accessible. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are limited.

Send a check or money order and self-addressed stamped envelope to BCBS, PO Box 482, Levittown, PA 19058-0482, or Venmo@buckscountyblues online (best to use cell or smartphone).
