Bucks County Free Library invites the community to help bring new outdoor musical instruments to its Langhorne branch.
The library’s goal is to raise $15,000 to support the purchase of five new instruments for the Langhorne library’s front courtyard. The instruments are designed to help visitors of all ages reap the many benefits of co-creating music in an outdoor community setting.
“After seeing how popular these instruments have been at the Doylestown branch, we wanted to give Langhorne visitors the same experience,” said Jessica Gruber, public services director at Bucks County Free Library. “Outdoor music parks offer emotional and cognitive benefits, and visitors love the melodious and calming sound they make. And you don’t have to be a trained musician to play something.”
