Local preschoolers invited to Bensalem High School

This free program has benefits for both the children and teens

Bensalem High School’s Family and Consumer Science Department’s Child Development classes offer a free preschool program. In this class, high school students have the opportunity to experience and discover the stages of development in young children, while the preschool students have the opportunity to develop their kindergarten readiness skills, which include building their literacy and social skills.

Preschool classes are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with two sessions to choose from: 8 to 10:10 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The program runs from mid-October to mid-May. Enrollment is open to children who are 4-5 years of age and are potty-trained. Registration must be made by a parent or guardian and will close as soon as the class size limit is met. You must provide your child’s current physical (within one year) and their up-to-date immunization record before the child can attend.

Additionally, the child must live in the Bensalem Township School District and their parents may not be employed by the school district.

The preschool will operate on the high school schedule. If there is no school for high school students, there will be no preschool. There is no district transportation.
