Lower Bucks Chamber keynote program is Sept. 8

Learn about intergenerational challenges in the workforce from Bobbi D. Kelly

The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce announced that its next keynote program, including networking and breakfast, is set for Thursday, Sept. 8, at Livengrin, 4833 Hulmeville Road in Bensalem. Networking is from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and the program is from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Bobbi D. Kelly, PHR, SHRM, CP, director in charge, Talent Advisory Services, Kreischer Miller, is presenting “Outstanding Talent Management, Intergenerational Challenges and Beyond.”

As “Boomers” – the largest generation in recent history – leave the workforce, it’s critical for businesses to understand the cross-section of the generations that remain. Unfortunately, that talent pool is shrinking. The Great Resignation has resulted from the historically high level of employee resignations and retirements over the past year, at all levels and among all generations. While some organizations see the Great Resignation and wave of Boomer retirements as a threat, forward-thinking companies are using it as an opportunity to think about the future of work and how they can keep their employees engaged and fulfilled.

During this session, attendees will:

– Gain a deeper understanding of the generations that are currently in the workforce, including the newest working generation, “Zoomers”
– Discover how to use data to attract, retain and develop different generations in your organization
– Learn how to effectively optimize your newest talent through your most experienced team members
– Learn about resources and next steps you can take to reduce your turnover, improve your company culture and engage your workforce

Kelly leads Kreischer Miller’s Talent Advisory practice, which helps companies align their business strategy with their people strategy. Prior to joining Kreischer Miller in 2014, Kelly was HR director with a mid-sized public accounting firm, where she specialized in recruiting, retention, compliance, benefits and policy development.
