Northampton celebrates groundbreaking of fire stations

Construction has begun on Station 3 in Richboro and Station 73 in Holland

Northampton Township and Northampton Township Fire Department hosted groundbreaking ceremonies at Station 3 and Station 73 on the evening of July 25 to commemorate the construction of two new fire stations.

The new stations are being constructed to meet the highest standard of safety for the first responders and provide the necessary resources to continue leading the way in the development of a model combination volunteer and career fire department. These stations aim to better serve the residents and businesses of the township and ensure that, when an emergency call is received, the fire department is there to quickly respond.

Sitting at the entrance to the township’s Municipal Complex along Township Road, Station 3 in Richboro is the department’s Fire and Rescue Headquarters. About four miles away, Station 73, 451 E. Holland Road in Holland, provides primary fire and rescue services to the people of that area of Northampton Township.

These new stations replace two old firehouses and are in addition to Station 83 in Churchville.
