Grundy Library Patron Services member Peg Kindt was recently named a 2022 Southeastern Pennsylvania Library Association Support Staff Award recipient during a Support Staff Workshop.

Kindt was awarded a certificate by Pennsylvania Library Association Southeast Chapter President Heather Lipinski, a one-year paid membership to the Pennsylvania Library Association, and paid registration to the 2022 SEPLA Annual Workshop.

Nominated by two Grundy Library colleagues, Kindt has been described as consistently giving top-tier customer service and handling all of her duties with the utmost professionalism. A Grundy Library employee of 24-plus years, Kindt is a true ambassador for the library and a helpful presence at Bristol Borough community events. In fact, many patrons reach out just to say hello.

Professionally, Kindt created a tracking system used by all staff when answering patron questions regarding Interlibrary Loans and material purchases for the library collection. This tool is used daily by library staff to give outstanding customer service to the Bristol Borough community. She is recognized for being especially respectful to and wonderful with library patrons. To co-workers, Kindt is supportive with a positive attitude and personal notes of encouragement, and is quick to share a compliment or positive anecdote to brighten everyone’s day.
