Eric Drab, TruMark Financial AVP and Levittown branch manager (L) presents a donation of $7,500 to support United Way’s work in the community to Marissa Christie, president & CEO at United Way of Bucks County (M) and Sheri Ratner, volunteer & HELP Center manager at United Way of Bucks County (R)

TruMark Financial Credit Union recently donated $7,500 to United Way of Bucks County as part of its community outreach initiative, Concern for Community.

The initiative was launched by TruMark as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each month, it selects different organizations to receive resources needed for their clients.

“During the pandemic, we noticed that many local nonprofits were stretched thin and in need of resources,” said Christine Woods, vice president of public relations and government affairs at TruMark. “Here at TruMark Financial, we care about our communities, and we want them to be as strong as possible. That’s why we’re proud to help organizations like United Way continue their important work.”

“We are so grateful for the support of TruMark Financial,” said Marissa Christie, president and CEO at United Way of Bucks County. “Right now, we are seeing a spike in folks who are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) in need of emergency assistance – and we anticipate more in the coming weeks. TruMark Financial’s support will truly make a difference as we respond to our community’s increasing needs.”

In addition to the monetary gift, the credit union also donated brand new children’s books to United Way’s HELP Center. The center provides essentials like cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and home goods – completely free of charge – to local residents who are struggling financially.
