Bensalem Police seize 40,000 fentanyl pills, 11 pounds of methamphetamine

Four individuals from California were found in possession of the drugs on the 3300 block of Street Road

Earlier this month, the Bensalem Township Police Special Investigations Unit conducted a joint operation with the Philadelphia DEA HIDTA Task Force in the area of the 3300 block of Street Road.

Through the course of the investigation, four individuals from Riverside, California – Ramon Caro, 19; Arturo Avila, 37; Anthony Gonzales, 26; and Alex Zaragoza, 22 – were found in possession of approximately 40,000 fentanyl pills, 11 pounds of methamphetamine and $5,000 cash. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is over $1 million.

All four subjects were charged with possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy and related charges. They were arraigned by District Judge Daniel Baranoski and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility without bail. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office will be prosecuting these four individuals. These arrests and seizures were made possible by the ongoing partnership between the Bensalem Township Police Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
