SCORE Bucks County is offering four free webinars in May in an effort to keep the local business community informed.

“The Process to Negotiate Buying a Business” takes place May 3. The webinar will be led by SCORE certified mentor Steve Wolfson, who created a new wholesale distribution division for an existing billion-dollar manufacturer by starting 13 warehouse locations in the construction industry and growing operations to $50 million within five years. Wolfson will discuss how entrepreneurs can: prepare financially to handle the selling price; review the seller’s financials with the help of an accountant; understand the due diligence list.

“Financial/Business Planning Basics” takes place May 10. Designed for current and would-be business owners, this webinar, hosted by SCORE certified mentor Richard Kroger, will help participants effectively plan and operate a business. Kroger will help attendees gain a better understanding of the importance of a financial plan, which can help: enable business owners to efficiently allocate funds and resources; gauge financial performance and make timely adjustments; attract new customers, potential lenders and equity investors.

“Successful Strategies for Women (Part 1): Envisioning Your Business Beyond Today” takes place May 17. Led by Nicole McCabe, the alliance director of Microsoft Partnership at Snowflake, this webinar is the first of a two-part series focused on women in leadership. The goal is to focus on moving beyond the “why” a business was started and plan for the successful business growth into the future. This will include resources, how to identify and overcome obstacles, and how female entrepreneurs can create the discipline to create and execute on the plan. The webinar will share insight on: business planning for the future; identifying blind spots in the current business plan; understanding strengths and weaknesses as a leader and the impact on the business.

The interactive session, led by Christina Reger, founder of the Law Offices of Christina Reger, LLC, will focus on HR issues businesses face following the pandemic. Reger will discuss: the status of business operations; business tax considerations; reconfiguring your operations permanently and which policies and procedures to consider including; addressing diversity, equity and inclusion.
