Bucks County Free Library’s third annual Bucks for Books fundraiser is officially underway.
The library’s goal is to raise $10,000 for new physical books, e-books and audiobooks. Every $20 donated adds another new book to the collection shared by all public libraries in the county.
In 2021, Bucks County Free Library users checked out more than 2 million books, according to Holly Ambrose, Bucks County Free Library’s collection management director.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, library cardholders have borrowed library e-books more than ever,” said Ambrose. “The support we receive during Bucks for Books will help us purchase additional copies to keep wait times down while maintaining a strong collection of physical books in all our branches.”
