The next meeting of the Trevose Horticultural Society is set for Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
Dr. Jessica K. Kim, owner and head designer of Bucks County Flowers + Things, will demonstrate a colorful selection of fresh floral designs. She’ll also discuss how to create pleasing designs for the home. A Q&A session will follow.
Prior to dedicating full-time to her floral design and education consulting business, Kim taught masters and doctoral students at Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2010, she started the floral design certificate program at Bucks County Community College, where she taught required and elective courses in floral design for three years. She has taught several workshops for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Clay Studio and many other educational institutions in the area. Kim currently enjoys growing her online business, giving talks and teaching workshops, specifically working with live succulents.
