Davis announces $55,000 grant for Hulmeville

Hulmeville Borough will receive a $55,000 grant to renovate its borough hall

State Rep. Tina Davis announced that Hulmeville Borough will receive a $55,000 grant through the Department of Community and Economic Development.

“I’m pleased to see state money being approved to help the completion of a local project that will benefit our community and our residents,” said Davis. “The funds announced today will allow Hulmeville to move forward with their renovation of their borough hall.”

Located at 321 Main St., Hulmeville Borough Hall formerly served as a school, housing grades 1-12. Borough council meetings take place in the hall and the borough’s police department is located in the same building.

Hulmeville is celebrating its sesquicentennial in 2022 and will host numerous events to commemorate the borough’s 150th anniversary.
