9 local projects in spending bill

U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted for the omnibus appropriations package for Fiscal Year 2022, which fully funds the federal government through Sept. 30

U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted for the omnibus appropriations package for Fiscal Year 2022, which fully funds the federal government through Sept. 30.

Overall, the $1.5 trillion package contains plenty of pork.

Fitzpatrick secured support for nine community projects in the 1st Congressional District, worth $6.675 million.

“I am pleased that community project funding for PA-01 that I have fought for was included in the House-passed bipartisan spending package. This critical funding will soon be delivered to address needs across Bucks and Montgomery counties, including mental health and health services and community and public infrastructure revitalization. I look forward to working with community leaders to implement these community projects in a timely fashion,” Fitzpatrick said.

Money will go to renovation of the YMCA Fairless Hills branch; extension of the Newtown Rail Trail; improvements to Bristol Waterfront Park and Maple Beach Road; the proposed Forensic Diversion, Treatment and Rehabilitation Facility; the Woods Service Specialized Outpatient Mental Health Services for People with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Conditions Program; the Hepatitis B Foundation’s Center of Public Health Excellence; renovation and expansion of St. Luke’s Hospital Quakertown Campus Behavioral Health Unit; the Corinne Sikora Wellness and Support Center; and the Doylestown Hospital Infant Protection Project.
